Vanisaben Patel, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric surgeon whose clinical interests include reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, diabetic wound care, and trauma. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University in Miami. Dr. Patel then completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital East in Boynton Beach, Florida, where she served as chief resident.

Training in a busy emergency care environment, Dr. Patel performed thousands of procedures for traumatic injuries and treated a broad spectrum of conditions. These experiences inform her collaborative style—she believes the best outcomes come from working closely with patients as partners in their care.

In sports medicine, she builds return-to-play plans that account for the unique demands of each sport, from cutting and pivoting in field sports to repetitive loading in distance running.
